I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Biology and completed 30 graduate hours in Early Childhood Education from Southern Connecticut State College and received my Master's degree in Earth Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. My teaching experiences included pre-kindergarten, talented and gifted second grade, third grade, and fifth grade.

After 35 years of teaching, I decided to retire from the Dallas Independent School District; however, I continue to substitute on a part-time basis. My husband and soul mate passed away on May 5, 2014, from lung cancer.
